Some plants bring just that extra bit of atmosphere. Pot gerbera Melodiva® is a perfect example. On the dining table, on a windowsill, or as a cheerful touch on your balcony or terrace – Melodiva® feels right at home anywhere.
If you share your home with a pet, you've probably wondered which plants are safe to have around. There is an overwhelming number of poisonous plants for animals but worry not because there are also safe options which don’t take away the joy of having a colourful house.
Gerberas are non-toxic to cats and dogs, so you can enjoy them indoors and outdoors!
For the garden, there's Garvinea®, a gerbera bred to live outdoors. Every summer the temperatures seem to soar higher, and many gardeners worry about all their hard work being destroyed. Series like Garvinea® Sweet and Garvinea® Majestic are sturdy enough to handle summer heat and changing weather, and they're known to be tough against pests too.
Fresh Gerberas are non-toxic to pets, so a fresh bouquet can brighten your home without a second thought. Care for them a little, and they can last up to three weeks in the vase.
A few mini favourites to look out for:
For those that love generous large flowers, we hope to inspire you with Gerbera Cologne, Gerbera Rossano and Gerbera Fortune.
These varieties are known for their long vase life, so they're a great choice if your days are busy. And if you forget to change the water, from experience we can assure you that they will survive.
Gerberas are safe for your pets and a joy to have around. Colourful, cheerful and easy to care for, they are a lovely choice for every home and garden.
